In SRS Pearl project, Car parking and Club Membership were marked optional at the time of booking, Later builder send demands of Car Parking Charges of 1.5 Lacs, In parallel members also started to hear rumors of upcoming club charges of 50K. In SRS Pearl, Club is not situated in SRS Pearl Floor area rather it's in another project of SRS i.e. SRS Royal hills areas, so no meaning of pay club membership from pearl floor buyers.
BTW : There are clear cut supreme court rulings as well, That states - Builders cannot sell anything other than apartment in a group housing project.
It did required long efforts, and continuous pressurization and extended discussions with builder to revoke these charges, Members spent almost 8-10 saturdays and various meetings at SRS office, and at last got success and received revised ledger i.e. without Car parking and club charges. The efforts did indeed paved off - and members saved 1.5 Lacs for car parking, and possibly if they hadnt fought hard, builder might have even imposed Club membership charge as well.
