Re: Are you ready for next Protest against Faridabad Administration?

Postby harvinder1980 » Tue Dec 20, 2011 3:03 pm

Earlier some of the members of the group were not in favour of having the protest on a weekday, but if we have decided it to be on a Friday then why not on the first or second day of the week (Monday or Tuesday). I know it will be more difficult for all of us but just imagine and compare the impact of it on Monday Vs Friday.
Monday is the first working day and anything unusual would be remembered in the whole week ahead. Friday is again not more than a holiday for these Lazy Govt. officials and they have 2 off days there after (Saturday & Sunday) and there are very less chances of any thing being in their head when they return back on Monday.

Just give it a thought....

But anyways I will be with the decision of the core team and open for any day decided by the core team. Please do count me in for this great cause.

Thanks
Harvinder

Dear Friends,

There were various pros and cons of various dates e.g. 2nd or 3rd Jan - government officials could extend there new year vacations and some of us might also not like to take leave on 1st/2nd working day of the new year. Delaying the protest takes it close to 26th Jan preparations by the administration etc etc..

Keeping all these in view, the date of protest is finalised as 6th Jan'12. However, the theme of the protest could still be changed.

Just for your information on why BEGGERS theme is finalised.. Media response to cover anything which does not have enough masala is very cold. To get yourself noticed, you need to do something different.

We plan to sit in the mini sectariate complex dressed in suits and holding bowls... Ghar le liya lekin sarkar ne is haal meain pahuncha diya(no development, too much EDC) ki bheekh maangne ki naubat aa jayegi. We do not have to act and do a street play.

Still the theme can be reviewed/changed. Please let us have your suggestions. We need to close the theme in two days (by 22nd) to start preparations so please hurry up.

Regards,

Vineet

I am in for theme like Anna Hazare's ... Gandhian topi .. Khadi Kurta Pyjamas.. Sarees.. Protest should look like as if we are the oppressed ones (like Ghulams of British Raaj before Independence) and the Present day Governance is like British Raaj and is suppressing/ oppressing and cheating us and is worse than the British Raaj. This theme will sell as it has done for Anna Hazare.. We shall get good publicity and sympathy since common man and the public/ government bodies can well relate with the theme of Indian Freedom Struggle ... a proposal for consideration...

Holiday or no Holiday, we must gather if we care about our INVESTMENT!!!

Protest on HOLIDAY has no value. There will be no Govt Officer to who you are going to protest.

What best we can do is to organise a 'sit out' outside HUDA office for a full week and people can sit there on rotation basis so that nobody is required sit there for more then a day in the full period of the week. This is how Anna ji also doing. He himself and core members are sitting there fully and public joins him on rotation basis.

We should do protests on working day to gather maximum impact. I get really surprised by people raising concern on that. Is working 1 day in office more important than approx. 30 lakhs of money that we have put in our homes

All Forum Members,

You all know, that there are some steps forwarded by HUDA for the development of Gr. FBD after GFWA protest on 13th Nov'11.
As per news, they got approval for Mater Road budget and work is likely to start by start of April'12.
We are not completely believing them and waiting for their next step.

Also, in last week our members got chance to meet STP-CHD and briefed him about the inflated EDC and other builder related issues. Same was also briefed to STP-FBD (Ms Geeta Prakesh). She asked us 15 days time to get information from CHD office for the calculation of EDC ( till 5th Jan'12).

So, keeping all these in consideration, we are postponing our Planned Protest on 6th Jan'12 by few days.

In addition to Protest against the HUDA, this time we are planning to add our Protest targets against the Builders, Town and County Planning and DC office for cheating us in the name of EDC.

Because, all builders are carrying malpractice in the name of Increased EDC and not giving any proper reply/justification to customers.

As of now, New proposed dates are not fixed but it would be somewhere between 12th Jan'12 to 18th Jan'12
(on working day).
Same will be fixed in couple of days.

So, get ready to fight against the Builder and Town & County Planning.

There are positive steps being initiated by Director General, Town and Country Planning, Mr. T.C.Gupta after a delegation of GFWA visited Chandigarh couple of weeks back. Also, next Court Hearing in High Court for quashing of increased EDC is on 31st Jan. We are monitoring these 2 important events and will decide on next protest after 31st Jan. Meanwhile, I request all to sign online petition for bringing out Real Estate Regaulation Bill at:
