Meeting with Puri Construction on 29th Oct 11AM

On my request, Kaushik Sengupta has agreed to meet us. Even though, he has expressed his helplessness to discuss anything on EDC, I propose to go ahead and meet them. Memebers, who feel the urgency and usefulness of this attempt may pl confirm (text me ) as I have to revert to Puri.

Dear Members,

Meeting Mr. KaushikSenGupta is a sheer waste of time. He is always helpless on each and every issue. Rather plan to meet Mr. Arjun Puri, in the past I had some dialouges with Mr. Gupta and he is not at all an understanding personality towards customers. At the same time Mr. Puri helped me a lot. Atlast all the power lies with mr. Puri.

My sincere request is to meet Mr. Puri and take his appointment rather seeing anyone else at Puri Constructions.

I agree, we should meet Arjun / Mohinder puri in order to have fruitful discussion. Mr Gupta does not have decision authority.

For everyone's Reference: Coputation of EDC is mentioned below. But the question is why should we pay such high amount of interest?

Area of Pranayam : 19.362 Acre
Area of Pranayam per sq. Ft. : 1730000
EDC per Acre as per notification : 232.84 lakhs per acre applicable for the calendar year 2005 to 2008 after reducing by 10% p.a. on compoundable basis from 2009 (as per notification)
Our Licence Year 2006
2009 EDC 232.84 lakhs per acre (as per notification)
2008 EDC less 10% 209.55 lakhs per acre
2007 EDC less 10% 188.60 lakhs per acre
2006 EDC less 10% 169.74 lakhs per acre as applicable
169.74*19.362 acre =Rs.328650588/-
Interest paid =Rs.111752715/-
Total =Rs.440403303/Area 1730000 sq. Ft.
EDC rate =Rs.254/- per sq. Ft.
Less EDC per sq. Ft. Already paid : Rs. 110/-
Balance EDC per sq. Ft. To be Payable : Rs. 144/-
EDC per sq. Ft. As per demand sent : Rs. 125/- (Rs. 19/- per sq. Ft. Less)

I concur with Sriram and all those who mention about the uselessness of Kaushik Sengupta. He is just a glorified messenger boy with no powers and a foul mouth.
Arjun Puri and the MD Mohinder Puri are the right persons to meet.
As much as I would have liked to join you, I am unable due to my being out of Delhi till the 31st.
You could add my name to any written protest that you may need to present to Puri Construction on EDC or any other issues.

Folks,
Our meeting is confirmed sat 3:30PM. I got a call from Kaushik, asking "what is the agenda of the meeting"?. When I told him it's about EDC, he tried dissuading me to come for a meeting for this. I didn't let him succeed in his plan so we have to be smart in our meeting with data, facts and strategy. Will someone draw up agenda? Everyone should contribute.
Kaushik has very specifically said less than six should be there for meeting. Funny isn't it? So, as I understand, our confirmations are:
Me, Sriram, Davesh, Guarav, Shubhash Kumar.
Jiten : I am not sure if you are joining us. Pl confirm.
From here on, I request one of you to take up lead for further discussion. I can help in minutes of meeting from our side but EDC computation, legal etc is not my strength...so req somebody to lead.
Let's discuss our plan and we must go prepared to have our impact.
Members, who are joining for meeting , pl forward me your email ids so that I can send you the message I have received from Kaushik. You may have some ammunition for further action:)

Agenda suggestions:
EDC calculation and ask for suspending any payments till the court verdict is out.
If we have to pay up, then at least 3 months time and in tranches.
