Members help required for visit to Chandigarh

Dear All,

When we are shelling out lacs of rupees for purchasing a flat , the travelling expenses of going to chandigarh is probably not the reason behind people not confirming for chandigarh visit. It may be that they are apprehensive about what is the agenda over there after reaching there ? if we go back to the day of protests, we can see the poor turnout. I think it was so because it is very difficult for the people like us to shout slogans while walking down the roads.

Thanks, Koushik Ji for pointing that. Agenda of these meetings will be to have a discussions and meetings with concerned top level Officers in Govt. No slogan shouting, no protests etc.. Warm and co-ordial meetings are on agenda. Agenda is to find out a solution and policy decisions by Govt. for stopping these malpractices in name of EDC.

Tentative Travel date is 10th Feb (Friday). Timings will be early morning to late at night as we have to reach Director's office in Chandigarh by 11:30 AM and then meet our GFWA advocates. May plan to meet Chief HUDA Administrator also for development updates.

The Director, will he be expecting us? (Is meeting arranged already?)

agree wuth anubhav. no point going w/o appointment or a agenda. concerned officer/s may not be available or decline to meet us.

rest GFWA decision would be final. above is just my views as i donot know the full picture.

Anubhav/Sunil/All, we are going with a definite agenda. This is a follow up meeting to previous meeting we had with Director. We (GFWA) have already sent 2 letters to Director for appointment in 2nd week of February. Also, we have taken an appointment.

We have planned to go by Shatabdi Train. Shatabdi train timings are as follows:

Morning: New Delhi: 7:40 AM Chandigarh: 11:05 AM
Eveining: Chandigarh: 6:53 PM New Delhi: 10:25 PM

We will do mass booking of tickets latest by tomorrow morning 11 AM. Requesting all who have confirmed to send their name, age, contact numbers, choice of food (Veg/Non Veg) to core@myfaridabad.in so that we can book tickets

Hello All

I regret to inform that trip to Chandigarh for 10th is cancelled as director has to go for some urgent official work to Delhi on 10th. We have just received message from his PA. I am sorry for inconvenience caused but some things are out of control. Next date in next week will soon be finalized. We can look at positive side that now we are having all data and each other contact details that will help us quickly plan next visit

The meeting with DGTCP has been fixed for Friday 17th Feb Members who would like to join the delegation are requested to send their name and contact number by tomorrow noon to GFWA working committee wc@gfwa.in

Members who have sent their nomination in the past, are request to confirm (notify) if they are not in position to join on 17th Feb.

Please note we shall be doing train reservation (Shatabdi) tomorrow and will require Name, age, and meal preference for reservation.

10 members from different housing projects visited Chandigarh today on trip organized by GFWA and met various officials from DTCP and HUDA. We met Chief Town Planner, DTCP in Chandigarh, Chief HUDA administrator and Chief Engineer, HUDA in Panchkula. We apprised officials of builders wrong demands for EDC increases and took stock of development works for Greater Faridabad.
