Ledger Accont Statement refused by BPTP

Postby rajeevkishore » Fri Jul 13, 2012 11:00 pm

Dear Friends,

Bptp has refused to give me the ledger account statement of my plot.

I need to know the details of my payments made to bptp with date, late payment charges, interest details, and most importantly to check original receipts, etc.

So I requested bptp on tel. / email. But they clearly refused stating :
"With reference to the below mail. We regret our inability to provide you with the detailed Statement of Account with break up and respective dates. You are requested to refer the payment receipts for the same.
 "

This is absurd.

All other builders provide detailed statement to customers, some such as EmaarMgf, even give online access to my account with them.

Plz suggest.

Regards

Rajeev

send them a letter by registered post demanding the same and document it. will help you in future if you want to go for legal ( you never know). also write that if they donot send you the account ledger with in 15 days of receipt of your letter then you will assume that there is no dues are on you in terms of interest etc.

regards
Sunil

Hi
Greetings

Please go through the relevant portion of THE HARYANA DEVELOPMENT AND REGULATIONOFURBAN AREAS ACT, 1975

26. maintenance and submission of accounts [Section 5 and 6]—
(1) The colonizer shall—
(i) issue regular receipts to the plot holders in respect of the money received by him and maintain counterfoils of the receipts so issued;
(ii) maintain separate ledger account of each plot-holder;
(iii) maintain a register containing authenticated copies of each of the agreements entered into between him and each of the plot holders; and
(v) maintain accounts books showing details of expenses incurred by him on various development works in the colony.
(2) The colonizer shall within a period of three months after the close of every financial year, submit to the director through registered post with acknowledgement due a statement of accounts indicating the amount realized from each plot-holders, the expenditure incurred on internal and external development works separately of the colony with details thereof together with the amount due from each plot holder indicating their postal address. This statement should be duly audited, certified and signed by a chartered accountant.

With this it is possible to get an accounts statement as submited by BPTP to the DTCP office. However, confirming when the demands were made can be told by BPTP.

Hope that helps
