Response from Piyush Group for enhanced EDC revision/refund

Finally, Piyush has adjusted Rs 14 in enhanced EDC. I have received revised demand letter.But, it continues to arbitrarily charge EDC and an interest of 24% per annum. Also, no calculations are shared with buyers.

I got a receipt of the amount paid.......wait .....

Strangely they have calculated the Rs 14 * 1446= Rs 20,000(approx) and sent me a receipt of amount paid for some Installation + S.Tax.

when I called them, they said its a token note that says they owe me money and will send a cheque of the said amount after 15 Days. (this is because I had already paid the EDC amount).

It looks like some financial adjustment trick. If you can post scanned receipt, then only it can be understood.

Hi Dheeraj,

Today I got call from piyush group to pay enhanced EDC(according to revised letter ie decreased by 14) and they told me that I have to pay 50 thousand interest also for one year.Is there any way to agree them and give proof that this calculation is still wrong and it should be Rs 105 per sq feet.Cn you please help me to show collective profs, docs etc.

Also , is this correct that we guys need to pay this amount of intetrest for last one year.

Please use post response-from-piyush-group-for-enhanced-edc-revision-refund-t1102-15.html#p9905 for sending your response to Piyush Group. That is sufficent proof. With regards to interest, yes, we are liable to pay interest @ 12% which is demanded by Govt. and NOT 24% which builder is forcefully deducting. We can see RPS which is neighbour builder of Piyush charging that interest (12%) only. For EDC, builder can't make any profit.

the builder must be dragged behind bars for such corruption. The department people have closed the eyes by getting influenced by builder. The matter must be reported to the CBI and other such departments.
