Members help requested for representing GFWA at Chandigarh High Court on 6th October (SATURDAY)

Dear Members, as you are all aware that writ petition filed by GFWA before honorable High Court at Chandigarh for rollback of retrospective increase in EDC is at critical stage and posted for arguments on SATURDAY. Yes, this time it is NOT a working day for many members working in MNC companies. GFWA legal team had already briefed senior counsel and regular lawyer representing our case by visiting Chandigarh a week back. We require GFWA members representation to be present at Chandigarh to add more weightage. GFWA Protests got covered in Chandigarh newspapers also and Judges should not take GFWA lightly as it had been a case till now.

We are optimistic. Today, only, I was reading news in newspaper about Govt. decision to rethink huge retrospective tax imposed on Vodafone. When Govt. can give relief to big corpoartes, why not ordinary citizens?

No confirmation about the meeting point / time for travel to Chandigarh, yet.

Spoke to Ashish but nothing confirmed.

Tried to reach you as well, but the calls went unanswered.

This is not the way, hope things will be co-ordinated in a better way now onwards as it is a complete mess this time.
