SOON, MONORAIL TO CONNECT FARIDABAD WITH GURGAON

FARIDABAD: As part of the Haryana government’s efforts to improve public transport facilities between Faridabad and Gurgaon, chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday said that the state was considering plans to introduce a monorail service.

Addressing a rally here, Hooda said that plan would further accelerate the pace of development in the area.

On the occasion, Hooda also announced a bonanza of incentives for the residents of Faridabad, including construction of a road from Bata Chowk to BK Civil Hospital at a cost of R12 crore, another periphery road from NH3 to NH2 (up to Bata Chowk) at a cost of R18 crore, construction of a bus stand in Sector 12 and beautification of the NIT bus stand.

Also, as part of efforts to find a solution for the persistent power shortage in the state, Hooda would visit Bhutan.
