Updates on complaint filed against RPS Group to Economic Offence Wing (EOW)

I was watching Kiran Bedi on Centrestage in Headlines Today news channel. She mentioned under Jan Lokbal Bill, economic offence wing will be strengthened and defaulter can face non-bailable imprisionment ranging from 5 years to life term imprisonment. Currently, people escape with paying fines and penalty (Triveni Group case).

Eventhough I have invested in Triveni, am not aware about the triven case you have refered. Kindly update what heppened and when.

CHARTER & RESPONSIBILITIES OF SFIO
a) detecting and prosecuting or recommending for prosecution white collar crimes/corporate frauds.
b) SFIO will normally take up investigation of only such cases which are characterized by:-

complexity and having inter-departmental and multi-disciplinary ramifications’
substantial involvement of public interest to be judged by size, either in terms of monetary misappropriation or in terms of persons affected and the possibility of investigation leading to or contributing towards a clear improvement in systems, laws and procedures.
SFIO does not initiate any investigation on its own, based on any complaints/documents received from any source. The cases are taken up for investigation as are orderd for investigation by the Government i.e. Ministry of Corporate Affairs under section 235, 237, 239 and 247 of the Companies Act,1956.

The local and State STP/DTCP office are clearly involved along with administration in helping builders perform acts of public fraud. Being a multi departmental and fraud of Corporate Nature, it is important that complaint be lodged with Serious fraud Investigation office.

Complaint against DD Township, TIDCO, BPTP have already been lodged. If one were to wait for the builder to deliver, I think there has to be logical time period for the same. If this seems to have crossed in your opinion, you may want to pursue as a group.

This is in no way promoting against or instigating to move against RPS or any builder and individual discretion may be use. This is being presented only as a "piece of information" which may be acted upon accordingly.
