Home investors: We are being looted
Several people who had booked homes in Greater Faridabad protested on Sunday the various charges that they were made to pay to the government and builders, which did not result in any infrasture development.
The protesters, who had come from different parts of Delhi and the NCR, including Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad, demonstrated in the city using the theme “Pocketmaar”. They went about raising slogans against the state government and builders.
"We have filed over one thousand complaints to different state government agencies about poor infrastructure in Greater Faridabad and continuous loot by builders in the name of different charges," spokesman of Greater Faridabad Welfare Association Ajay Yadav said, adding that no response has been received from the state government.
The protest rally briefly touched National Highway number two at Ajrondha chowk where the agitating investors burnt effigy of the state government and builders.
"The state government had assured to create basic infrastructure in Greater Faridabad by 2010 but nothing has been done yet,” said a protestor.
