Too late and too little RTI reply from HUDA

Postby dheerajjain » Tue Jan 18, 2011 9:08 am

I had filed RTI application (attached) containing detailed queries regarding land acquisition and cleary asking for timelines and milestones in July 2010. After my application going through endless transfers between Govt. officers in HUDA, I filed an appeal in Nov 2010. Even after the appeal and assurance that all queries will be answered, I received yesterday RTI reply from HUDA which has NO timelines , planning or milestones and it only addresses 2 queries. It only says (attached):-

1. EDC services will be started ONLY after complete acquisition of land.

2. Previously, HUDA officer had told me verbally that they will build temporary roads so that people can commute to their residential societies. But, in written reply, HUDA has even denied making any temporary roads.

This RTI reply marks 1 year of receiving RTI responses from HUDA. I have learned now that RTI law is very weak and does not result in actions being taken.

For any actions to b taken on ground, either we should do large scale protests or go to Courts or do both.

The partial reply clearly indicates that Naharpar area development priority is quite low in their list. I wish if HUDA could have more professional approach like NOIDA or Greater Noida authority where administration first does the basic area development work before builder comes in. I have seen good change in new sector of Noida and Noida extension (Sector-1 Greater Noida).
Only PIL or political initiative from CM office could be only hope to make area livable for habitant .We need to unite and come forward whatever little we can do.

This is a partial reply and we can start legal proceedings against huda for duping us our hard earned money.

Terriably bad...

Is HUDA waiting for some 'Tokens of appreciation' from builders to start any development?

These news are fabricated news. The Builders are behind these news to sell their flats. we have been hearing lots of good news since 2005 but now ground work started.

Today the same news is in three different news papers.

Why the news is in HINDI newspapers only?

If news articles are true, then why is HUDA not replying to RTI queries?

Dear Deeraj,

You r right i am not saying that news papers news are true. Sometime these news papers are also published paid news which is given by anybody.

We always trust the news with the supporting documents like you provide.

I was just sharing these news to everyone to know the view's about the news.

I really appreciate your efforts in all these issues.

Re: Another RTI 'reply' from HUDA - Let us visit Panchkula

Postby dheerajjain » Tue Jan 25, 2011 9:55 am

Another too little and too late RTI reply from HUDA. Letter says estimates are pending with Chief Engineer, Panchkula (Chandigarh). Let us visit HUDA head office at Panchkula and meet Chief Administrator, HUDA and Chief Enginer, HUDA

Scanned reply attached.
