Those who are planning to submit letter now, can try sending this letter to
SPIO -cum-Accounts Officer, o/o Director Town and Country Planning instead of Chief Town Planner

My application was transferred by Chief Town Planner to SPIO cum Accounts officer , and delayed the information retrieval by a few weeks

i checked their website quickly just now. the first officer to whom the RTI application has to be sent it Chief town planner only. so I am sending to him only. they may reject my application that SPIO-cum accounts officer is not the right person to send the RTI application directly. you never know.

secondly I am buying postal order for 50 rs. in favour of account officer , DTCP Harayana payable at chandigarh. let me know if this is not correct.

my applicaiton will go tomorrow.

Thanks
Sunil

Dear ssg.sunilgupta

First of all, we appreciate your concern for sending RTI application.

For sending application to Chief town planner, you need tp address the application in the name of 'The State Public Information Office, Chief Town Planner,........'
otherwise it will be summarily rejected.

Secondly, if your buying Postal order for Rs 50 (the best way indeed), you need to fill the details of the person to whom you are sending the application because the notation may be wrong and again your application could be rejected!!!

The simpke way is to just purchase a Rs. 50 postal order and fill you rname and address (bottom right corner) and leave everything blank
