Demand Letter received from Omaxe for increased EDC Charges

As you might be aware that there is no respite from High Court on EDC/ IDC and next hearing is to be held on 31st January.

It is time to put a united front against Omaxe.we should plan for small protest outside omaxe office for overall sufferings which end customers are facing.

To start with we can atleast give them an combined signed application explaining EDC charges.

I would request if anyone have received reminder for EDC with Interest please upload on forum.

people who have got offer of possession and have deposited entire money are worst sufferers. They are not getting any penalty for late possession and losing Interest on overall money paid.

Please remember one thing that payment schedule for EDC is entirely between HUDA and DTCP and Omaxe cannot charge more than 18% interest on same. Also this payment is outside Aggrement and Omaxe should prove it to satisfaction of buyers

Yes, I have got the reminder EDC letter from Omaxe for 3 BHK and asked me to clear the dues by 21/11/11 with Rs 10000/- interest incurred so far.

I got a letter just stating that how much will be the enhanced EDC/IDC. There is no timeline specified in it that when we need to pay this.

Hi Anuj,
Apologies for the delayed response. Its 3 BHK and I received the enhanced EDC/IDC amount letter about 2 months back.
The letter was only indicating about the amount that I need to pay, not any timeline that when I need to pay. I still haven't paid that amount.

Hi Kulbhushan

I was not aware of this fact. To my knowledge Omaxe has demanded Enhanced EDC from all flatholders under Phase 1 of project.

Infact most of 2BHK Holders have paid the amount as well.

If you see the latest RTI reply, Omaxe has not paid this amount to HUDA, we should sent a notice to Omaxe on this regard.

Yes,

I own a flat in MArc Tower and few month back i receive a letter from Omaxe to pay enhance EDC
which i do.

Now it lies in range of 300+ per sq. feet in addition they increase my super area w/o any increase in flat
floorplan.

Anyway in which tower you own the flat and what is the possession date commited by omaxe to you for that.

DTCP has recently waived off Interest charges

For Omaxe Heights, Faridabad an amount of 540 Lakhs has been charged as Interest which when applied to an area of 22 lac sq feet comes to around 25 per sq feet.

Also original EDC charged by Omaxe i.e Rs 150 + 15 need to be questioned as original EDC does not come out more than Rs. 130 sq feet.

Hi Can somebody advise latest update on revised EDC/IDC charges and if everyone has paid the same. Inspite of repeated request to Omaxe for justification, no response. I got a call from Omaxe collection department yesterday asking for release of increased EDC/IDC as well as installatment for completion of internal plaster.

Any iead about the progress at site...!
