I have earlier sought for some information from SPIO, STP, Faridabad. According to which I have made some calculations of EDC and IDC for BPTP, Princess Park, Faridabad and also sent the same to BPTP for clarification. I am herewith reproducing the letter for your kind reference:

Sub: Rate of EDC and IDC wrongly charged
Dear Sir/Madame,
This is with reference to your demand no.0090429375 of Rs.3,02,635/- along with overdue amount of Rs.0/50 and interest of Rs.6480/65, I wish to confirm you that I have already made the payment of Rs.3,02,635/50 on 27/09/11 under protest but I did not pay you the amount of interest since your calculation for the same was wrong.
Now, I wish to remind you that you have demanded the additional EDC from me on the grounds of enhancement of EDC in Faridabad, by Government of Haryana vide Memo no. HUDA.CCF.ACCTT-I-2011/17903 dated May 25, 2011 and according to you the enhanced EDC stands revised to Rs.1,74,94,000/- per acre retrospectively w.e.f. 27/01/06.
Now, to check the authenticity of your demand, I sought for some information under RTI Act, 2005 from State Public Information Officer, STP, Faridabad, Haryana.
And according to the reply of information sought under RTI Act, 2005 by me, the revised EDC applicable on 27/0/06 stands at Rs.94,94,000/- per acre and not Rs.1,74,94,000/- per acre. Therefore the calculation of EDC applicable comes out to be Rs.104/67 per sq. ft.
(Amount of EDC:17.97 acre X Rs.94,94,000/- per acre = Rs.17,06,07,180/-
Saleable area:1.63 million sq.ft.(as per your website) = 16,30,000 sq. ft.
EDC per sq. ft.: Rs.17,06,07,180/- / 16,30,000 sq. ft. = Rs.104/67 per sq. ft.)
This means that you have wrongly charged the amount of EDC of Rs.271/- per sq.ft. from me.
Further, according to the reply of information sought under RTI Act, 2005 by me the applicable IDC on 27/01/06 stands at Rs.250/- per sq. yd., that comes out to Rs.27/78 per sq.ft.. This means that you have again wrongly charged the amount of IDC of Rs.31/- per sq.ft. from me.
You are, therefore, requested to kindly return back me the following amount without any delay:
1. Extra EDC Rs. 3,05,215/55
(Extra EDC deposited:
Rs.271/- per sq. ft. - Rs.104/67 per sq. ft.= Rs.166/33 per sq. ft.
Area of flat = 1835 sq. ft.
Amount = Rs.166/33 per sq. ft. X 1835 sq. ft.
= Rs.3,05,215/55)
2. Extra IDC Rs. 5,908/70
(Extra IDC deposited:
Rs.31/- per sq. ft. - Rs.27/78 per sq. ft.= Rs.3/22 per sq. ft.
Area of flat = 1835 sq. ft.
Amount = Rs.3/22 per sq. ft. X 1835 sq. ft.
= Rs.5908/70)
3. Service tax charged on EDC.
4. Interest on the above amount @ 15% p.a.
Kindly take an immediate action on my complaint to avoid further legal action.

This is with regard to the letter dated 02.03.2012. We would like to update you that as per the new court ruling received to us from HUDA, we are making some revision in the calculations of enhanced EDC.
