What to do if builder threatens with cancellation?

Postby jainamit22 » Tue Feb 28, 2012 8:54 am

Dear Mr BlessU and Dheeraj,

I concur with you on this. We should not let Govt take us for a ride this time and should be burning down their neck.

On EDC/IDC front, Omaxe is following up every week urging to pay the remaining amount or will cancel the allotment and forfeit the amount already paid. I am sure these are just their tactics to get additional amount out of our pocket. If I have paid all my earlier installments before the due date, I don't think the builder can cancel my allotment.

Hello Amit/All

We should be taking cancellation threats on issue of increased EDC by various builders on priority and do some actions to be on safe side:

1. Make sure that we had paid all previous dues. Only increased EDC demand is pending.

2. If you receive any written communication containing threat by e-mail or letter, please forward by registered post/speed post to :-

Director General,
Town and Country Planning Haryana,
Madhya Marg, Sector 18,
Chandigarh - 160018

Please mark a copy also to Chief Accounts Officer

3. Make sure that you are a GFWA member. For becoming GFWA member, please follow these instructions:
gfwa-bank-account-details-for-contribution-t594.html

4. Send a written letter to your builder clearly mentioning that you are a GFWA member and the matter of increased EDC is subjudice. GFWA has filed a case in High Court for quashing of the same. Here are case details:
