GFWA General Body Meeting - 22 April 2012 - Minutes of meeting

Dear Members

Thanks to all the members who attended the meeting and/or volunteered in various activities for smooth functioning of the day, Members who couldn't join us yesterday, We missed you all and hope to see you in upcoming events. Please find attached summary of discussions during GFWA General Body Meeting.

1. The meeting was attended by close to 150 existing and new members, There were 35 new registrations. Request all members who registered during meeting to fill in online form. Link http://www.myfaridabad.in/gfwa-membership-form.html

2. Following points were discussed during the meeting

• GFWA Overview and our journey so far - Vice President Mr. Narender Chhabra
• Updates on recent development in Greater Faridabad - GFWA Spokesperson Ajay
• Update on EDC orders/audits - actions that need to be taken by buyers - by our activist and Working Committee member Umesh Prabhakhar
• Updates on various RTIs, How to file RTI, procedure etc - by our GFWA RTI Activist Rahul
• Update on legal case - by Sushilji
• Discussion on MyFaridabad forum - by Dheeraj
• Updates from Mr. Ashok Rajan Aggarwal (Rajan Ji) BPTP Parklands Owner President on RWA activities
• Updates from Omaxe RWA Vice President and treasurer
• Updates from Mr. Bidyyut Bhatterjee: Puri Pranayam Forum Leader


3. GFWA was specially invited by authorities for a meeting with Chief Minister, and we were required to close our meeting at 12:00 to reach the venue for inauguration. However the CM was running almost 2 hour behind schedule, and we couldn't get time to interact with him.

4. While waiting for chief minister Mr Hooda, We had quite a extended discussion with Sh S S Dhillon Financial Commissioner & Principal Secretary on various areas, few points -

• We can expect master roads, and basis infrastructure in around 18 months
• The is nothing like FNG revival on plan, The project was scrapped after eastern and western peripheral expressway, Talks are on with Noida officials on connectivity, but nothing concrete at this point in time
• On EDC Revision : The builder cannot make a loot in name of government, Builders have been sent copy of revised notifications and these notices are available in public domain as well, Builder cannot make excuse in name of receipt of notice.
• On EDC Audit Results : Mentioned I am not aware, We briefed on audit exercise carried few months back, where samples were given for 15 builders, and the audit team from Chandigarh visited, He talked of transparency and told audit results can be retrieved from office.
• On majority builders following malpractices : Washed off hands stating supreme court ruling , and agreement between builders and buyers


Action Plan going forward
We intend to cover following points in coming month(1 Month Plan)

1. Meeting with Sh S.S Dhillion – W4-Apr’12 : Subject to appointment
2. Writ Case hearing : 3rd May’12
3. Follow Up with Director General- Town and Country planning : On Going
4. Action plan for Protest against the Builder ( to be decided after Outcome of meeting with Sh. S.S. Dhillion and Court Case) : Tentative Target Date : may’12

We received wide variety of suggestions from our members, and are sure the active involvement and feedback from members will enable GFWA organization grow. Yes we understand there was a time crunch/limitation due to various back to back activities this time. All the suggestions received during meeting shall be posted in new thread. Forum Members are requested to please come forward to get involved and suggest more activities so that we can take up more issue to cover larger audience across Sec 75 to 89.

Hi Seema, excellent updates !

I am having a view that we should plan protests against builders ASAP. Meeting with Mr. S.S.Dhillon and ongoing GFWA court case has no link with our complaints against builders. Mr. S.S.Dhillon, seniormost officer of Haryana Govt. for Urban Development told in front of camera that his departments are unable to do anything against builders since their hands are tied with Supreme Court order. He told that agreement signed between builder and buyer is foremost. He can only interfere in right charging of EDC amount. Also, ongoing GFWA case in High Court handles twin issues of development and enhanced EDC rollback but builders are not party to it and does not contain builders issues.

Majority of people on this forum are having common issues with builders in form of:

1. Indefinite Delay in possession without any penalty given by builder which is putting heavy burden on monthly finances.
2. Illegal Charging for common area like open parking, podium etc.
3. Selling of green area to schools/health centers etc. for profit
4. Harassing buyers by inventing new demands for extracting money.
5. Increase in super area/increase in floors etc.

I think protest against builders is long overdue. Last time we did was on Mar 1, 2011 and that made lot of impact. Members, please post your views for the same. Are you ready for protests? Please reply

Dear All

This would be my first protes with GFWA & I would also suggest to go for a big protest like "Duniya Hila Denge" against builders.We should do it ASAP.I also suggest following points

1. Protest should be on working day .
2.If funds require ,we should contribute somthing as decided by GFWA.
3.It should be a "ZERO" Violence protest
4.If advised by GFWA ,I am ready to go on Hunger Strike.We are also dying by paying House rent and EMI so it is better to die like our freedom fighters.
5.Every member should participate with their family.It should be like a rally.
6.We should hire 2-3 Elephants and Horses to lead our protest March.
7.We can hire around 100 people (Like some labours from labour chowk) also for which I can pay personally Rs 5000 to 6000.
I wish to make this a Historical protes in Indian History to Shake Builders and HUDA
