CNN-IBN’s ‘Citizen Journalist Show’ wins at Asian TV Awards

Asian Television Awards which is television’s most significant and celebrated event, recognizing excellence in programming, production and performance was held in Singapore on 8th December 2011.




The Citizen Journalist Show on CNN-IBN was honoured at the prestigious Asian Television Awards 2011 in the category of Best Cross Platform Content for the 2nd consecutive year. Asian Television Awards which is television’s most significant and celebrated event, recognizing excellence in programming, production and performance was held in Singapore on 8th December 2011.



The Citizen Journalist Show on CNN-IBN sets a platform for the common man to raise their voice and fight the irregularities and injustice that plague our society. These Citizens take on the system to ensure that justice is served.



Speaking on the occasion, Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, IBN18 Network said, “The show has helped hundreds of citizens to raise their voice against injustice prevailing in the society and thereby continue to inspire Citizens everywhere to fight to revive an infallible justice system. Friends do post your opinion, comments, feedback on the story at the CNN IBN Citizen Journalist website, We could receive 4 minutes slot in prime time on a prime news channel, and we can turn this small telecast to garner bigger media attention, which may in turn help pressurize authorities and builder to deliver, What was supposedly their job.

Great work done by Seema. We should put our sufferring in front of Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare on 3rd June in New Delhi so that all world see what is going on in Faridabad.

Please do not put whole of Faridabad in misery because of wrongdoings of a couple of builders. HUDA has finally woke up and are doing a great job with external infrastructure at a very fast pace. Many builders have also started delivering. I really feel for people invested with BPTP and RPS but otherwise things have gained momentum in terms of delivery from other builders and infrastructure development.
