GURGAON: The solid waste management plant in Bandhwari, located on the outskirts of the city, which has been lying defunct for the past three months, following a fire incident, is likely to start functioning once again by March.
According to a source, the plant operator, in a recent meeting with the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) authorities, has promised to make the plant operational by March-end. The contract to run the plant has been signed by the contractor with the MCF, while the land on which it is installed belongs to the MCG.
“The operator has promised to start the plant by March and has also assured to augment its capacity significantly
. If the operator does not stick to his word we have no other option but to cancel the contract,” said a senior MCF official.
