NOIDA: Noida Authority introduced a financial waiver scheme on Sunday for flat-owners allotted properties for economically weaker sections (EWS) in 2006-07. The Authority will provide discounts of Rs 55,570 from the pending dues of each EWS flat owner. The sum will be deducted from the amount that is equivalent to the difference between the total allotment price of the flat and dues already settled by each individual allottee.

The scheme is applicable to those allotted EWS flats under the scheme code Residential Flats Scheme 2006-07 (H) (3).

Authority officials informed that as a quid pro quo against this financial waiver, allottees would have to clear all pending dues in a time-bound manner. They will now be settled in eight half-yearly installments each with the interest amounts.

“Unpaid dues need to be settled by allottees in order to avail this scheme,” said Akhilesh Singh, DCEO, Noida Authority.
