GURGAON: Nearly 500 farmers of the Mewat farmers’ union plan to block chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s convoy on Sohna Road on Wednesday. Hooda is likely to take this route to reach Nuh to inaugurate Mewat’s new secretariat building .

The farmers have been protesting to demand residential plots as promised by the government.

“The government has asked us to pay Rs 7,800 per square yard for residential plots ,” said Azad Khan, leader of the Mewat Kisan Union.
