Realtor accuses farmer of cheating him

GURGAON: A realtor has accused a farmer of duping him of more than Rs 1 crore. The farmer allegedly signed an agreement with him for land, located in Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, that he had already sold off to someone else. Sushant Lok police have lodged an FIR.
According to police, Praveen Aggarwal runs his real estate business in the city from his office, located on Arjun Marg, DLF Phase 1. Aggarwal had lodged a complaint with city police against a farmer of Ghata village. In his complaint, he alleged that farmer Sudesh Kumar had struck a deal with him for Rs 1 crore for his 4 Beegha land in Bhiwadi. Aggarwal claims that he had given Rs 1.25 crore to Sudesh Kumar at the time of the agreement but when he asked for registry, the farmer denied because he had already sold the same land to someone else. On the complaint by the realtor, police assigned the inquiry of the matter to economic offences wing (EOW). In the inquiry, the EOW investigator has found the allegation as true and recommend lodging of the FIR.
